I bet you never knew the interesting facts about heat transfer clothing labels
Heat Transfer Labels
Heat transfer labels are also known as "tagless labels" because the image, artwork or label information is fixed directly to the garment. The apparel industry is using this well-known method to customize t-shirts to get rid of traditional labels.
The process of heat transfer printing
Heat transfer is a two-step process of printing on fabric. Heat and pressure are used to transfer the design from the paper to the fabric. First, the artwork is printed on wax paper using special inks. Second, the design is transferred to the fabric by using heat and heat pressure; similar to an iron. The heat triggers this special ink to create an adhesive on the other side of the wax paper and the ink sticks to the fabric; the wax paper is peeled off and the design remains. Over the years, transfer printing has become increasingly popular because full color images can be printed on the fabric. This process allows you to print a full color image on a garment. It is a simple process that can take 3-5 minutes to produce an item.
